Why these tools are free
Preparing an app for the stores involves a lot of small, repetitive jobs: checking pixel sizes, keeping files under upload limits, producing every icon size, and making sure metadata fits. These tools answer those questions quickly and without an account.
They are intentionally limited. They check, resize, compress, convert and count existing assets โ they do not design screenshots or replace a store listing workflow. Professional screenshot creation, templates, device frames, versions, brand kits and review links live in AppScenes.
What the tools do
- Check screenshot dimensions and icon details against store rules.
- Resize screenshots, icons and feature graphics to exact targets.
- Compress images and compare the original and resulting file sizes.
- Convert between PNG, JPEG and WebP where the browser supports it.
- Count App Store and Google Play metadata against current limits.
A passing result is a technical check, not a guarantee that App Store Connect or Google Play will accept every aspect of your listing. Always review the current official specifications before submitting.
Why local processing matters
Screenshots and icons often contain unreleased product details, and store copy can be confidential before launch. These tools use the browser's own image decoding, canvas and text APIs, so your files and text are read and processed on your device. No image data or metadata text is sent to AppScenes or any third party, and nothing is stored after you close the page.
Frequently asked questions
Do I need an AppScenes account to use these tools?
No. All ten tools are fully usable without registration or payment.
Are my files uploaded anywhere?
No. Images are decoded and processed in your browser, and ASO text is counted locally. The pages only load static HTML, CSS and JavaScript.
Which image formats are supported?
PNG, JPEG and WebP where your browser can decode them. Screenshot checkers accept PNG and JPEG, which are the formats both stores accept for screenshots.
Can these tools create new screenshots or icons?
They can generate icon sizes and resize existing images, but they do not design new graphics. To design full store screenshot sets with templates, device frames and brand kits, use AppScenes.
Do the tools work offline?
Once the page is loaded, processing happens locally. Open the tool pages directly from the site; no image ever needs a network connection to be processed.
