Summary (not legally binding). Use AppScenes lawfully, keep your account secure, and don't abuse the service. You own the screenshots you create; we own the platform. Paid plans renew until you cancel, and your price stays fixed while your subscription is active. The design assistant runs on AI credits included monthly with your plan; unused monthly credits expire. Review links let external reviewers comment; reviewers must verify their email and are responsible for what they post.
1. Scope
These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the AppScenes web application, website and related services (together, the "Service"), operated by Mediart Solutions, Inhaber Zharko Popovski, c/o Autorenglück #27850, Albert-Einstein-Straße 47, 02977 Hoyerswerda, Deutschland ("AppScenes", "we", "us", "our").
By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Service. If you use the Service on behalf of a company or other organisation, you confirm that you are authorised to bind that organisation, and "you" includes it.
2. The service
AppScenes is a browser-based tool for designing, editing and exporting promotional screenshots for mobile application stores such as the Apple App Store and Google Play. The Service includes a visual editor, an AI design assistant, templates, device presets, asset uploads, project versioning, export functionality and optional collaboration features.
The Service is provided as a software-as-a-service offering. We may add, change or remove features over time. We do not guarantee that any particular template, device preset or export format will always be available.
The Service also includes free, browser-based utilities for validating and resizing screenshots, resizing and checking app icons, compressing and converting images, creating feature graphics and counting store metadata characters (the “Free Tools”). The Free Tools run entirely on your device: images you select and text you enter are not uploaded to us or to third parties. They are provided free of charge, “as is”, for convenience. A passing validation result is a technical check only and is not a guarantee that Apple, Google or another store will accept a screenshot, icon, graphic, text or listing. Store requirements can change; always verify them against the official documentation before submitting.
3. Accounts
- You must provide accurate, current and complete information when registering.
- You are responsible for keeping your password confidential and for all activity under your account.
- You must be at least 16 years old, or the minimum age of digital consent in your country, to use the Service.
- We may require email verification before certain features are available.
- Notify us promptly at [email protected] if you suspect unauthorised access to your account.
4. Plans and billing
AppScenes offers a free plan and paid subscription plans (for example, "Pro" billed monthly or yearly). The features and limits of each plan are described on our pricing page and may be updated from time to time.
- Paid plans are billed in advance through our payment processor (currently Stripe).
- Automatic renewal. Subscriptions renew automatically for the same period (monthly or yearly) unless cancelled before the renewal date. You authorise us and our processor to charge your chosen payment method on each renewal, at the price agreed when you subscribed (see section 5).
- Your plan continues to renew until you cancel it. Cancelling does not require a reason and does not end access before the end of the period you have already paid for.
- Prices are shown in the currency indicated at checkout and may exclude applicable taxes, which are added where required.
- Renewal reminders. We aim to email you before a renewal — around 7 days before a monthly renewal and around 30 days before a yearly renewal — at the address on your account. Failure of a reminder to arrive does not extend the cancellation deadline, but you can always see the next renewal date under Settings → Billing.
- Failed payments. If a renewal payment fails, our payment processor may retry it automatically and we will email you. You keep access while your subscription remains active. If payment is not resolved, the subscription may become overdue and is eventually cancelled, after which your account moves to the free plan.
5. Price lock
When you subscribe, we record the effective price you paid. For as long as your subscription remains continuously active, later changes to our list prices will not increase your renewal price. If you cancel and later resubscribe, the price then in effect applies. Promotional discounts may be limited to new customers and are marked as such at checkout.
6. AI credits
Free and paid plans include a monthly allowance of AI credits for the built-in design assistant, as shown on our pricing page. One AI credit represents a fixed amount of AI processing budget. Each finished assistant operation consumes credits based on its actual measured cost (at least one credit), and the app shows the exact charge after every operation.
- Plan credits are granted fresh every calendar month, expire at the end of that month and do not roll over. Annual plans receive a monthly allowance as well.
- Extra credit packs can be bought separately. Purchased credits do not expire and are used only after the monthly plan credits are spent.
- Credits are reserved before an operation starts. Failed operations are refunded automatically. If you run out of credits, the assistant refuses new operations until the next monthly grant or a pack purchase.
- The internal budget that one credit represents may change over time; past usage is never recalculated. Changing plans takes effect at the next monthly allocation.
Assistant output is an editable starting point. We give no guarantee about its quality, originality or acceptance by any app store. You are responsible for reviewing AI-generated content before publishing it. Running the assistant requires sending your prompt and the current scene to our AI provider; see our Privacy Policy for details.
7. Cancellation and refunds
You may cancel your subscription at any time from your account settings (Settings → Billing → "Cancel subscription") without giving a reason. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period; you retain access to paid features and AI credits until then, after which your account moves to the free plan and the subscription does not renew.
Cancellation is a two-step process: you confirm the cancellation in the app, and we immediately send a confirmation to the email address on your account in text form, stating the date on which the subscription ends. If you change your mind before that date, you can resume the subscription from the same settings page and it will renew as before. This confirmation email also satisfies the confirmation requirement for online cancellations under applicable consumer law.
Except where a refund is required by mandatory law, payments are non-refundable, including for partially used billing periods and for AI credits already consumed. If you are a consumer in the European Union, you may have a statutory right of withdrawal; by starting to use a digital service immediately, you request performance to begin and acknowledge that you may lose that right once the service has been fully provided. Nothing in these Terms limits mandatory consumer rights.
8. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in breach of applicable law;
- upload content that infringes intellectual property, privacy or other rights of third parties;
- upload malware, or attempt to gain unauthorised access to the Service or its infrastructure;
- interfere with, overload or disrupt the Service, or use automated means to scrape or abuse it;
- resell, sublicense or provide the Service to third parties except as expressly permitted;
- reverse engineer the Service except to the extent permitted by law; or
- misrepresent your identity or impersonate others.
We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate this section.
9. Your content
You retain all rights to the designs, images, text, logos and other materials you upload to or create with the Service ("Your Content"). We do not claim ownership of Your Content.
You grant us a limited, worldwide, non-exclusive licence to host, store, process, transmit and display Your Content solely as necessary to operate and provide the Service to you (for example, to save your projects, render exports and, if you enable it, publish a public preview link). We will not use Your Content to train machine-learning models, and we do not sell it.
You are responsible for ensuring that Your Content does not infringe the rights of others and complies with the rules of the app stores you submit to.
10. Review links and comments
If you enable comments on a public share link, you invite external reviewers to view the project and comment on its slides. Reviewers do not need an AppScenes account, but they must provide a name and a valid email address and verify that address through a single-use link before a comment is published. Email verification is always required.
Comments are visible to you, to authorised collaborators and to every reviewer using the same review link, together with the reviewer's display name and the comment time. Reviewer email addresses are visible only to you and authorised collaborators, are never shown publicly, and are used solely to verify the comment and notify you of new comments.
Reviewers are responsible for their comments and must not post content that is unlawful, abusive, harassing, defamatory, infringing, confidential or misleading, or that contains spam or malicious code. You are responsible for the review links you create and for the people you invite. Comments are not a private messaging channel and must not be used to transmit confidential information.
You may disable comments at any time. Existing comments remain stored and visible to you, but new public comments cannot be created. You may resolve, reopen or delete comments from your dashboard. We may remove or restrict comments or review links that violate these Terms or applicable law, and may suspend review features to protect the Service from abuse.
11. Our intellectual property
The Service, including its software, user interface, design system, documentation and the templates we provide, is owned by us or our licensors and protected by intellectual property laws. Subject to these Terms, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the Service for your internal or commercial screenshot creation.
You may use screenshots you create with the Service for any lawful purpose, including app store listings. You may not redistribute our templates as standalone products or claim them as your own.
12. Availability and changes
We aim for high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation. The Service may be unavailable during maintenance or due to factors beyond our control. We may modify, suspend or discontinue all or part of the Service. If we discontinue a paid Service you are using, we will provide reasonable notice and, where appropriate, a pro-rata refund.
13. Warranties
To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We do not warrant that exports will be accepted by any particular app store, or that designs will render identically on every device or browser.
Mandatory statutory warranties, in particular under consumer protection law, remain unaffected.
14. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost profits, revenue, data or goodwill, arising from or related to your use of the Service.
Our total aggregate liability for all claims relating to the Service is limited to the greater of (a) the amount you paid us in the twelve (12) months preceding the event giving rise to the claim, or (b) EUR 50.
We do not exclude or limit liability for intent, gross negligence, death or personal injury, or any other liability that cannot be limited under applicable law.
15. Termination
You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you materially breach these Terms, if required by law, or if we discontinue the Service. On termination, your right to use the Service ends. Sections that by their nature should survive (for example, intellectual property, liability and governing law) will survive.
You are responsible for exporting any content you wish to keep before termination. We may delete your data in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
16. Governing law and jurisdiction
These Terms are governed by the laws of Germany, excluding its conflict-of-law rules and the UN Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods. If you are a consumer, you benefit from any mandatory provisions of the law of your country of residence.
The courts at our registered office have jurisdiction, unless mandatory law provides otherwise for consumers. The European Commission provides a platform for online dispute resolution at ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr.
17. Changes to these terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you by email or in the Service and update the "Last updated" date above. Continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance. If you do not agree, you may cancel your subscription and stop using the Service.
