Store metadata limits are strict: a single character over the limit can block a submission. The counter applies the limits below and updates as you type.

How the metrics are counted
- Characters — Unicode code points, so emoji and accented letters count once.
- Words — sequences separated by whitespace.
- Lines — line breaks in multi-line fields.
- Spaces — literal space characters.
- Without spaces — characters excluding all whitespace.
- Commas — shown for keyword fields to help with comma-separated lists.
Store consoles may count certain characters differently, especially emoji. Leave a small margin below the limit when the text is critical.
Keyword field tips
- Use commas to separate keywords; spaces after commas are optional and still count.
- Avoid repeating the app name or words already in the name and subtitle.
- Prefer specific phrases over broad, highly competitive single words.
- Do not add competitor names or irrelevant terms — stores may reject them.
- Check the comma count so you do not lose a keyword through a missing separator.
Privacy
The counter runs entirely in your browser. Text is read from the input fields to compute counts and is never sent to AppScenes, analytics or any third party, and it is not saved in local storage or a database.
